Helping chart a path for a brighter future
Zambian children are the same as children everywhere! They have the same hopes and dreams that all kids have. They want to be Doctors and Nurses, Accountants, Teachers Journalists, Mine Workers, and the list goes on and on.
The one major difference between Zambian children and our children here in the United States can be summed up in one word...opportunity.
The scholarship program is designed to give under-privileged students the opportunity to receive extra lessons (tutoring) in English, math and science. These are children who understand the importance of an education and want to make a difference for themselves and their families.
Your yearly sponsorship of $200 (or $16 per month) will provide everything one student needs to attend one full year of tutoring which includes...
I would like to introduce you to Mirriam Kunda.
Mirriam Kunda is a personable, confident 18 year old young woman in the 9th Grade. She lives with her family in Chibaluma. She has 5 brothers and 3 sisters and is the 5th born.
Her favorite subject is Math and she, surprisingly, wants to be a Soldier and do Security. Once you meet Mirrian you can see she is determined and will be successful in her choice of careers.
Her favorite activities outside of school are football (soccer) and netball (similar to basketball).
In January Mirriam, along with 59 other remarkable students, will be in need of sponsorship. Your donation of $200 (or $16 per month) will ensure that Mirriam or another deserving student, gets another year closer to reaching their goal and changing their future.
