There are ZERO Government run early childhood development centers in Zambia

Preschool readies a child for elementary education and promotes success for the future.
According to UNICEF, only 6% of children between the ages of 3 and 5 attend preschool in Zambia.
Imagine growing up in the United States, attending school every day, and then suddenly being told that your future depends on passing tests written in a language you were never taught to read, write, or speak.
For thousands of children in rural Zambia, this is reality.
Although English is Zambia’s official language, many children in remote villages grow up speaking only their tribal dialects. When they reach 8th grade, however, all required testing is conducted entirely in English. Without the language skills needed to succeed, many students are forced to leave school before ever reaching high school. This is one of the leading barriers keeping children trapped in generational poverty.
At Possibilities Abound, Inc., we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.
That is why we are partnering with the New Life International Mission Group in Livingstone, Zambia, to support the New Life Center’s new “Let’s Speak English” program for preschool and elementary-age children in the Malone Village. By introducing English instruction early, these children gain the tools and confidence they need to continue their education and pursue opportunities that would otherwise remain out of reach.
Education is one of the most powerful ways to break the cycle of poverty. With your support, we can help open doors for these precious children and give them hope for a different future.
We invite you to join us in making that future possible.

Our goal is to make available a safe environment for learning to the most vulnerable children in Zambia. The preschools we provide will be community based to reach the most vulnerable.
Each school will have classrooms along with an office and storage space. An adequate septic system will be installed with access to toilets. Fresh water will be accessible on site through a well and pump system.
Teachers are given training along with classroom tools and supplies to ensure success in the classroom.
The plan is for each preschool to benefit not only the children of the village, but also the community at large. Adult literacy classes as well as training classes for commerce can be held in the classrooms.
From breaking ground to opening the doors with fully equiped classrooms, the cost is approximately $20,000.
The monthly cost to sustain the preschool is approximately $400.00 . This cost covers food for 60+ children and their teachers, teacher salary support, supplies for the classroom and repairs as needed. Your monthly, or one time donation, will help secure a future for these vulnerable children.
