More than friends...family
Our Zambian Partners
I would like to introduce you to our friends at the New Life Center (NLC) in Zambia. They are Delbert and Sandy Groves - Founders of the NLC, Josephine Mbilishi - Director of the NLC, and Emily Padilla - Ministry Coordinator. Without them, our work in Zambia would not be possible. Since we are located here in the United States, they are our hands and feet in Zambia. I have had the privilege of working with the Groves and the NLC since 2002. They are more than friends...they are family.
This group of dedicated individuals oversee all of our programs. For the Preschool Program they locate the site and coordinate the construction of our preschools. Delbert actually designed the building for us. From there they locate furniture and supplies for the classrooms and work with local villagers to staff the school with teachers and aides. Training is also given to the teachers. And it doesn't stop there. Periodic visits are made to the schools to ensure they are running smoothly and to keep us updated on the children and relay pertinent information to us.
For the Student Scholarship Program, the NLC staff interview potential recipients, travel to the student's schools to pay all required fees and ensure they have what they need to succeed. Progress for each student is monitored and assessed.
After dates are selected for the Medical Mission Program, the staff at the NLC begin getting ready for us to arrive. Clinic sites in local villages are chosen, beginning with the preschools. Translators, transportation and medical supplies are readied for us. The NLC also provides housing as well as meals for the team.
As you can see, Delbert, Sandy, Josephine, Emily and the rest of the NLC staff are invaluable to us. We are forever grateful for their willingness to support us here at Possibilities Abound, Inc..

Feeding Program
The Battles to Blessings Sunday School Class has been supporting the feeding program for Possibilities Preschool since it began in 2017. We are grateful for their dedication to these vulnerable children.
Malone Well Project
In June of 2022, First Marion partnered with us in supplying 3 fresh water wells to the people of Malone Village. Their contribution took a 2 year project down to a 2 week project!
